Scope

This California privacy notice supplements Orion Software’s privacy policy for California residents who use an Orion-operated website, app, cloud service, support channel, or beta program. Terms defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), have the same meaning here.

Notice at collection

Depending on the product and choices you make, Orion may collect the following CCPA categories: identifiers and contact information; customer records and transaction information; commercial information; internet or electronic network activity; geolocation at an approximate IP-derived level; audio, visual, electronic, and similar content; professional or employment-related information in a business inquiry; inferences such as product preferences or model-derived sports context; and sensitive personal information when a feature involves account credentials, precise device permissions, health information, or the contents of private communications.

Examples include account name and email, profile image, purchase status, project and collaboration content, community posts, support or feedback messages, app interactions, notification tokens, IP address and service logs, and information selected through camera, microphone, photos, files, Health, LiDAR, or similar permissions. Orion products do not all collect every category. The product-specific section of the main privacy policy explains the differences.

Sources and purposes

Orion receives information directly from you; automatically from the Service and ordinary network requests; from Apple, Google, Square, authentication, hosting, analytics, connectivity, and other providers used for a requested feature; and from collaborators or community members who interact with you.

Orion uses these categories to provide and personalize Services; authenticate accounts; synchronize and store content; enable purchases, collaboration, notifications, support, and feedback; generate requested outputs; secure and debug the Services; understand product performance; comply with law; and maintain business records.

Disclosure, sale, and sharing

Orion may disclose the categories above to service providers and contractors that support hosting, authentication, databases, storage, analytics, notifications, payment, email, forms, AI features, speech generation, connectivity, security, and professional operations. Information may also be disclosed to collaborators or the public when you choose a shared or public feature, to a recipient you select, in a business transaction, or when legally required.

Orion does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Orion does not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics or for purposes that trigger a CCPA right to limit. Orion does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Retention

Retention depends on the information and product. Orion considers the time needed to provide an active account, local or cloud feature, collaboration, support, transaction, security function, legal obligation, backup cycle, or dispute resolution. Local information remains under the device user’s control. More detail appears in the retention section of the main privacy policy.

California privacy rights

Subject to legal exceptions and verification, California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information Orion collected; the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients; correction of inaccurate information; deletion; and a portable copy. Residents may also request information about sale or sharing, although Orion does neither, and have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

Because Orion does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not use sensitive personal information for additional CCPA purposes, Orion does not present “Do Not Sell or Share” or “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” controls.

How to make a request

Email info@orionsoftware.co with the subject “California Privacy Request” and identify the relevant product and request. Orion may request information needed to verify identity, account ownership, California residency, and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request when required authorization and verification are provided.

You may also write to Orion Software LLC, 44 W Broadway, Ste 230, Eugene, OR 97401, United States. If Orion denies a request, the response will explain the basis and any appeal process required by applicable law.
